Each year the Haller Award recognizes an individual engineer who has made an outstanding contribution to Structural Masonry Design and Education in practice.
On October 8, 2016, Mr. Ben Harris, former recipient of the Award (2015), presented the 2016 Paul Haller Structural Design Award to FORSE’s Sam Rubenzer. Ben noted that Sam was selected for his outstanding contributions to Structural Masonry Design and Education, including serving as the structural designer of numerous masonry projects and many load-bearing masonry retail stores. He is also a noted software consultant and expert especially on masonry structural analysis and design using FEM, STAAD, & RAM.
